- Family Legacy: Caribe was founded by the Fabian family and was inspired by their long-standing, smaller eatery, Mami’s Restaurant (located on Crane Street, operating for nearly 20 years).
- A Bigger Vision: Regular customers of Mami’s requested a larger location suitable for dining in with friends and family. The Fabians answered this call by embarking on a two-year project starting in early 2021 to build Caribe.
- Tropical Escape: The name “Caribe” translates to “Caribbean” in Spanish, and the owners intentionally designed the restaurant to make guests feel “transported to a tropical vacation.” This ambiance, combined with its sports bar amenities, creates a unique fusion of a cozy family dining spot and an energetic social hub.
