Clifton Park Center is one of the areas growing malls and is currently re-inventing itself. Formerly known as the Clifton Country Mall, Clifton Park Center is located in the main shopping center of Clifton Park features over 40 stores as well as a food court. Much like the town of Clifton Park itself, Clifton Park Center has many eateries and provides a new-age classy atmosphere. It also has coffee shops that offer live music. Clifton Park is much like the city of Saratoga with its emodyment of class.
Clifton Country Mall opened in 1976. In 1984, the mall expanded by taking on Caldor. With Caldor also came the mall’s new food court and brand new movie theatre. The mall officially made the change from Clifton Country Mall to Clifton Park Center in the year 2000.
It was acquired in the spring of 2006 by DCG Development, a Clifton Park based development firm. After the purchase , the group became aggresive in remodeling the mall with hope of making it the best shopping option of it’s residents. Before this time, Clifton Country Mall was facing tough times and losing stores as well as patrons. In dire need of a make over and rebirth, half of the mall was torn down for a lifestyle section (2006). The new look to the mall and the addition of a “cultured” appeal is promising to spark a new interest and breathe new life into Clifton Park Center.
There is also a new facet to the mall where a 2,000 foot Clifton Park Center store allows customers to pay bill and discuss Time Warner Cable packages with customer service representatives.
A more family-orientated mall. Great to bring the kids and plenty of parking.
