The Lowdown
The Recovery Room is one of the best sports bar that Albany has to offer and sets itself apart from many of the sports bars in the area.
It's unique, it's fun, it's decently priced, and if you are not aware of The Recovery Room you are most certainly missing out on the area's top sports bars.
Whether your a die hard sports fan or just like to have a great time you can find it all under one gigantic roof at The Recovery Room. Boasting an amazing 53 HD flat screen televisions, this is certainly a one of a kind bar!
Parking is a little bit tricky because it is right across the street from Albany Medical Hospital, but do not let that stop you! This place is a must visit.
We do not hand out 100 degree ratings often, so when we do, you can rest assure that we liked everything about the bar! The Recovery Room is no exception!
The Service
Plenty of seats and a huge bar and full staff make the service here hard to beat. They are fully staffed and the attention to detail is second to none.
We have heard nothing but GREAT things about the food on the menu at The Recovery Room but as always, let us know about your experience via the polls!
An ATM on hand and plenty of specials make this a great, fun, and affordable option for an night of the week or ANY gameday.
Happy hour specials, Red Bull specials, Trivia specials, make this an affordable spot to catch the game or get your Madden on!
A cool little feature at the bar is little metal plates that are built into the bartop that cool your drink. Wow, this place just gets better and better right?

The Scene
Although we wouldn't necessarily consider this a "singles" bar, you never know. Much like Maggie's there are plenty of people from ALL age groups on hand, so you can try your luck!
We can imagine during Monday Night Football and/or the Sunder NFL games that this place is packed, so get here early!
One of the great things about The Recovery Room is that they offer a Madden gaming area. Yes! Madden! 518 Fever is a LONG standing Madden-freak and we love the fact this bar has a place where you can compete with other patrons on the virtual grid-iron.
The Recovery Room also has a pool league (yes they have a pool table!) dartboards, and arcade machines to keep the atmosphere fun and exciting.
And just to add a little cherry on top, The Recovery Room offers Trivia with a grand prize of 4 luxury box tickets to a game. Can you find a bar in the area that is offering that? We sure haven't found one yet so be sure to give this place a shot!
