THE RUCK
The Lowdown
The Ruck is a dark place (dimly lit), but don't let that fool you because this place is a great hangout for locals and nearby college students. A spacious bar, a dining area, and a kitchen provide any patron with everything you would need to have a good time and meet new people.
A few televisions with the games on, a couple dartboards and arcade machines, and great specials make it easy for any college student on a tight budget to enjoy.
Parking may be a bit of an issue, but it by no means a far walk from the Sage campus in Troy.
The Service
The staff was accessible and friendly. He (the bartender) seemed to be interested in talking to everyone and making them feel at home and comfortable. They greet you when you come in and wave when you leave, not too many bars care when you come and go, so that's a good thing to see!
We didn't get a chance to check out the food from the kitchen, but we would love for The Ruck to invite us back to review it!

The Scene
Looking for some singles? Want to mingle with fellow locals or fellow college students? This place is great on Friday and Saturday nights to do so! We are making it a point to come back and check this place out during it's peek times, especially if we get invited for a particular night. We would love to come back and see this place when it is truly hoppin'!
Great to catch the games (a couple televisions, dart boards, and arcade machines as well) or get to know some locals. Kudos to the bartender for providing us with information and just being friendly!
So the bottom line is, if your a college student, grab some friends and mingle with some singles on a Friday or Saturday Night. Who knows, you may see the 518 Fever team there as well, and if not, let us know a great night to go check this out!
