BOURBON STREET BAR & GRILL
The Lowdown
Located in Colonie, Bourbon Street Bar & Grill hugs the border of Albany and Schenectady and is one of the Capital District's premier karaoke bars. Bourbon is also one of the few places that offer a karaoke every night of the week. They offer food until 2 am and was officially opened in 1999.
The crowd is usually very eclectic. A very nice mix so nobody really feels out of place no matter what the age.
The Service
Bourbon has a loyal customer following and generates a good amount of regulars. The bar staff is very personable and they make an effort to get to know everyone who walks through the door. A very welcoming feeling.
They are strict with IDs and have a few bouncers to enforce security. The parking lot can be a little cramped so try and make it there early before the crowds. They have dart boards, a patio, stage area, sitting area (about 10-15 tables), quick pick gaming, several flat screen televisions and some cool gaming machines.
Bourbon also has a heck of a Monday Night Football set up with a huge projection screen.
The Scene
Wings are very good and the pizza is also a must because it comes from a brick oven. Most bars can't pull off making a damn good pizza but Bourbon can hold their own. The mozzarella sticks are also really good. Bourbon also serves a huge plate of nachos/salsa/sour cream which isn't too heavy of a hit on the wallet.
The menu is reasonably priced and the food comes in good portions.
