Bayou Cafe is one of Albany's most popular venues. Live music, great crowds
and two bars make this one of downtown's best and an almost guarenteed
good time no matter what night you go.
The weekends are prime for Bayou Cafe and they attract large crowds. They play host to shows for many local cover bands and popular bands (such as Ten Year Vamp) and can certainly draw a big crowd.
Perfect if you want to party it up on a Friday or Satrurday night. Live music, food, 2 bars, dartboards, a pooltable and a pinball machine make Bayou Cafe hard to beat when it comes to fun!
The Service
This place is actually one of the more crowded bars on Pearl St, so expect a ton of people on the busy nights such as Friday and Saturday. Throughout the week might be a better option if you are only looking for a drink and some food.

Plenty of staff on hand and multiple bartenders make it a little less painful waiting for a drink. They do a good job considering the crowd sizes.

The Scene
Bayou Cafe is one of the best places to go for live music and one of the best singles bars in the area.
One of the best things about Bayou Cafe is that it is large and sectioned off into 4 basic rooms. One room is the main bar area and is rather large for your typical bar. Plenty of seats and very spacious.
The 2nd room is a separate dining area that's best if you want to sit down relax and have a meal. Nice big flatscreen television and a few tables next to the picture window ( view of Pearl St)
The 3rd room is a smaller dining area with a pool table.
The 4th room is usually only open during the weekend. Stage, large bar, dartboards, and a pinball machine round out this large and spacious area. This is where the singles tend to mingle.
Go to hear to enjoy a night out on the town with freinds or a date. Live music is always a great plan!
Also a top notch place to meet some singles. Less of a "college bar and more of an "adult bar". Crowd tends to be 24 and up.
